Jersey City – Union City – West New York – Guttenberg – North Bergen – Fairview – Ridgefield – Palisades Park
The Fairview Avenue jitney route is a continuation of two other routes. Some buses on the Bergenline Avenue route branch off at Nungessers, and some from Boulevard East continue onto this route. Jitneys travel through Fairview, Ridgefield, and Palisades Park, and a small number continue along the route of the NJ Transit 166 through Englewood, Tenafly, and as far as Bergenfield.
The part of this route between Nungessers and and Palisades Park is shared with NJ Transit routes 165 and 166.
Since this route is operated by Bergenline Avenue and Boulevard East jitneys, the vehicles have the same “Bergenline” or “New York Blvd East” signs as others on those routes.
However, jitneys only operate infrequently on this route. Drivers mainly use this route to get to their garages, so service on Fairview Avenue is more frequent than service to Broad Avenue and Palisades Park.
